As noted in the pages of Irish history, Sir Ivar was a respected nobleman from Ireland's bog country. During the late 1800's he was known to brew the finest ale in the land. He believed in hard work, fine food and grog, and a friendly handshake for all who entered his pub.

When Larry Stoltzfus and Pat Quigley came to Baton Rouge they set out to carry on the standards that Sir Ivar had set a century before.

As Ivar's Sports Bar & Grill continues to grow, Pat and Larry strive daily to provide a comfortable, friendly meeting place for the pub-goers of Baton Rouge.
