About the Winery:

Since 2004, the Gilbert family has been producing true-to-varietal wines from their vineyards in Washington state. Farming with family in the Yakima Valley since 1897, the fifth generation of Gilberts is currently working together, dedicated to community, sustainable farming, and hospitality. Their elegant estate wines are produced with great care from grapes grown on the Wahluke Slope, Horse Heaven Hills, and the Ahtanum Valley.

Gilbert Cellars produces wines from three distinct Washington AVAs including Columbia Valley, Wahluke Slope, and Horseheaven Hills. Much of their fruit comes from the Doc Stewart Vineyard, named for Yakima Valley wine pioneer Dr. George Stewart. It is one of the oldest vineyards in Washington, planted in 1972.

Charlie has worn many hats in the company: from making cheese-plates, doing punchdowns, counting inventory, and currently selling wine. Charlie joined our sales team with a focus on the Pacific Northwest and now heads up all national sales. Culinary degree and all, his passion for food and has fostered relationships with restaurant owners and sommeliers during his travels around the country. Charlie enjoys skateboarding as well as consuming delicious food and wine.
