Batter Up: Mariners Take the Field + Our Foodie Picks

Share:

Opening night for the Seattle Mariners is just around the corner on March 28 and we’re getting ready to batter up at T-Mobile Park for the start of baseball season! There’s nothing that goes better than a good baseball game and delicious food, which is what you can expect to find at both Ivar’s and Kidd Valley locations in the stadium. Enjoy a cup of our classic Puget Sound Style Clam Chowder or bite into a delicious Ivar Dog or Kidd Valley burger, but don’t forget to grab a basket of our original garlic fries -- no matter what you pick!

Even though Safeco Field now has a new name, Mariners game traditions are still around. Here are some of our favorite ways to experience the ball game:

  1. Get to the game early. Even though you have your seats already picked, T-Mobile Park may be giving out Mariners swag at the beginning of the game, and you don’t want to miss out on those freebies!
  2. Grab a snack or two before you get to your seat! Be sure to stop by Ivar’s or Kidd Valley for your favorite baseball foods before the crowds line up and the game begins.
  3. Visit The Mariner Moose! We love The Mariner Moose, and he loves seeing all the Mariner fans! Don’t forget to visit him at The Moose Den before the game starts or try and find him on the loose around the stadium.
  4. Show off your best dance moves and maybe you’ll end up on the big screen for everyone to enjoy!
  5. Get your 7th inning stretch sweet! Although we love our garlic fries and cups of chowder, we can’t resist a sweet snack. Try some delicious Dippin’ Dots during the 7th inning stretch, after singing “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” of course, for a “reel” treat!

Bonus: keep your eyes open and fins ready to catch a fly ball!
