Where to Get Spooky in Greater Seattle This Halloween


 Halloween is approaching and the Seattle area has a variety of spooktacular activities for ghouls and goblins of all ages! From pumpkin carvings and trick-or-treating to after-hours events and wine walks, grab your costume and your candy bucket and get spooky in Seattle.

Here are just a few of our favorite Halloween events going on in the area:

Trick or Treat on the Waterfront: From 12 – 4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 27, the Friends of Waterfront Seattle and local businesses invite you to a free afternoon of family-friendly fun! Enjoy trick or treating at participating businesses from the Pier 53 to Pier 66. Interact with costumed characters and enjoy live music provided by Chief Sealth International High School’s Mariachi Las Aguilas. Participating businesses include the Seattle Aquarium, Kidd Valley, and, of course, Ivar’s Acres of Clams and the Pier 54 Fish Bar. Argosy Cruises will be offering 50% off tickets for anyone in costume and be sure to take a shell-fie with our own, roving Dancing Clam.

Boo-Berry Tea

Spooky Sips at Mukilteo Landing: Beginning next week, enjoy specialty Halloween cocktails at Ivar’s Mukilteo Landing. A variety of themed drinks such as the Boo-Berry Tea or I Want to Suck Your Blood Orange Margarita will be available through Halloween, all for $9. There will also be themed mocktails for the kids to enjoy! 

  • Boo-Berry Tea: Disaronno Amaretto, Gran Marnier, Hot Earl Grey tea, orange twist and “spider” garnish
  • I Want to Suck Your Blood Orange Margarita: Sauza Blue Tequila, fresh lime juice, orange liquer, blood orange purée, salted rim
  • Zom-B52 Coffee: Bailey’s Irish Cream, Kahula liqueur, Grand Marnier, whipped cream & meringue zombie garnish
Seattle Aquarium

After Hours: Halloween! at the Seattle Aquarium: On Thursday, Oct. 31, the Seattle Aquarium will stay open late from 6:30 – 9:30 p.m. for a 21+ Halloween event. There will be DJs all night long, a cash bar, food available to purchase, pumpkin carving and a variety of fishy experiences for guests. Tickets are $25 with discounts available for Seattle Aquarium members. Be sure to stop by Ivar’s Acres of Clams pre-event happy hour just before the party.

Woodland Park Zoo

Pumpkin Bash at Woodland Park Zoo: On Saturday, Oct. 26 and Sunday, Oct. 27 from 9:30 a.m. – 3 p.m., enjoy Halloween themed activities at Seattle’s Woodland Park Zoo, free with zoo admission. Explore the variety of exotic animals from all over the world and experience pumpkin carving and trick-or-treating, too!

Pumpkins in The Park, Downtown Kirkland: This fall harvest style festival is taking place in Downtown Kirkland’s Marina Park. On Saturday, Oct. 26 from 12 – 3 p.m., enjoy a pumpkin patch, petting zoo, pop up farmers market and trick or treating! Just a short drive from the newly opened Ivar’s Seafood Bar, stop by for a fang-tastic cup of chowder, our new pumpkin cheesecake dessert and more.

Bothell Safe Halloween: Sponsored by Ivar’s Seafood Bar, Main Street is the place to be on Halloween! On Thursday, Oct. 31, from 5 – 7 p.m., families can come dressed in their zaniest or most ghoulish costumes to enjoy free community trick or treating from dozens of businesses. Streets will be closed for easy access and maximum fun
